Morgan City, LA • Officials at LifePoint Hospitals Inc. announced today that James "Butch" Frazier, III has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer at Teche Regional Medical Center. Mr. Frazier has a broad range of experience in the healthcare industry, including serving most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Acadian Medical Center in Eunice, Louisiana.

I am impressed with the energy and enthusiasm of the hospital leaders and employees
and am excited about being part of this team."
"Once arriving at Teche Regional, I have a few factors that will be a priority for me. Recruiting physicians will be on the top of the list, as we must have key physician specialties to meet the growing needs of our patients. Our patient's satisfaction is always very important. As a community hospital, we must ensure that each and every patient receives the very best care when they come to Teche Regional Medical Center. Along with our physician and patients, employee satisfaction is a crucial part of our healthcare delivery system. Our employees must enjoy their work environment and look forward to coming to work every day for us to remain successful. All of these components combined will enable us to compete with our neighboring facilities and enable members of our community to stay close to home for their healthcare needs," added Frazier.
"I am delighted that Butch is joining the team at Teche Regional Medical Center," said Dr. Kimberly Thorguson, the hospital's Chief of Staff. "His personality, extensive background in healthcare and positive attitude is well matched with the medical staff and will be beneficial for our hospital as we move forward."
"The members of the Board of Trustees who comprised part of the interview committee were very impressed with what Butch has accomplished during his tenure at Acadian. His community involvement; physician recruitment abilities; employee relations skills; and his concern for the healthcare of the community are all traits that we are looking for at Teche Regional, "said Dr. Troy Drewitz, Chairman of the Teche Regional Board of Trustees. "We are all excited to be able to work with someone of Butch's caliber to continue to move healthcare forward for the benefit of our community," added Drewitz.
