Teche Regional Medical Center Expands Cardiology Services


“Teche Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Bahij Khuri, MD, an Interventional Cardiologists to its growing medical staff”, announced Butch Frazier, Teche Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “With the support of Dr. Khuri, we are able to provide additional cardiology services to members of our community”, added Frazier.


Dr. Khuri specializes in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Intervention and his expertise includes; complex coronary and peripheral angioplasty, carotid stenting, limb salvage, renovascular hypertension, brachy therapy, thrombosis, and mechanical thrombectomy. “I am pleased to have performed the first peripheral angioplasty last week. This service has not been provided in town for a long time,” said Dr. Khuri.


Dr. Khuri is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine,Interventional Cardiology,vascular and endovascular medicine and has been on staff at Ochsner Clinic foundation Baton Rouge since the fall of 2003. Dr. Khuri earned his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon and completed his Internship and Residency at Good Samaritan Hospital, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed his Fellowship in General Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and interventional Cardiology at Ochsner. Dr. Khuri is a Fellow of the American college of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions.
