Outgoing Board Members Recognized

Morgan City, LA • Scott Smith, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Teche Regional Medical Center presented gifts of appreciation to members of the hospital's Board of Trustees who served their term. Sharon Bass, M.D. and Mike Brocato were both honored for their hard work and dedication to the local hospital.

"With the Board's assistance, we have made tremendous progress in moving our hospital forward. It has been with their help that we have been able to recruit new physicians, improve and expand medical technology, improve the physical appearance of the hospital, and continually concentrate on patient, employee and physician satisfaction," said Scott Smith, CEO. "Dr. Bass and Mr. Brocato have provided excellent leadership during their tenure and have been an asset to the Board of Trustees and the hospital," added Smith.

The Board of Trustees meet on a monthly basis and act as an advisory board for the hospital. They are involved in strategic planning and make decisions based on the needs of the community. Current board members include Chairman, Troy Drewitz, M.D., Erica Menina, M.D., Larry Callais, Tim Hebert, Rebecca Conrad, Mary Hartman, and Scott Smith.
