Carla Taylor Thurston, M.D., Internal Medicine, Joins TRMC Medical Staff

Carla Taylor Thurston, M.D., an Internal Medicine physician, joins the Teche Regional Medical Center Medical Staff announced Butch Frazier, Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

 “We are pleased that we were able to provide an opportunity to Dr. Thurston to practice medicine in her hometown,” said Frazier.  “With the addition of Dr. Thurston, we will be able to expand our existing internal medicine services, keeping people at home for their healthcare needs,” Frazier added. 

Dr. Thurston is a graduate of Central Catholic High School.  She attended AUC/SABA University School of Medicine, St. Martin and SABA, Netherlands. Dr. Thurston did an internship and residency at Ochsner Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Thurston is looking forward to returning home to Morgan City and working with the medical staff at Teche Regional Medical Center to provide primary care to the people in this community. She will join the practice of Dr. Metz and Dr. Dishman with the Medicine Clinic of Morgan City. She is now accepting appointments by calling 985-702-8500.
